Empowering Your Journey to Wellness

Sunday Law

MS, LM, CPM, CST, CYT, CHES

I was born at home in Truchas, a small mountain town in northern New Mexico, to a brave mother full of self-confidence in her ability to give birth naturally. I was her third natural birth baby. I feel my mother’s strength led me to be a midwife and birth my own three babies at home. Giving birth naturally is among the most beautiful, empowering experiences of my life. For more than 24 years, I have witnessed the miracle of life and feminine power, one birth at a time. Creating a beautiful, safe, and loving space for the birth of the next generation is an honor, a pleasure, and a great service to humanity. My experiences inspire me to share with others who seek holistic pregnancy and birth in a labor of love.

I began my studies of midwifery in 2001 at the International School of Midwifery in Miami, FL, and have been an LM and CPM since 2003. I have had the honor to learn and work in homebirth practices, birth centers, clinics, hospitals, and abroad in Peru, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and India. I am also a Certified Yoga Teacher, Craniosacral Therapist, and Certified Health Education Specialist, and I hold a Masters Degree in Integrative Health Promotion. I am currently in my final year of study to become a Certified Classical Homeopath.

Empowering Your Journey to Wellness

Sheaffer Palermo

Sheaffer is a mother to five children, a sovereign birth companion, is immersed in wise woman midwifery studies, and is a home birth assistant.

Her call to midwifery began during her first pregnancy over 20 years ago. She has been called to support those within the childbearing continuum in making collaborative, informed, and autonomous decisions by prioritizing each unique woman, baby, and family dynamic. She brings a wealth of lived experience to birth work and is informed by her continued commitment to education outside of the mainstream medical industrial complex. While deeply respecting the system when it is needed Sheaffer believes strongly that pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting are not medical events. She holds the belief that these rites of passage are profound spiritual and transformational experiences.

Sheaffer is called to the wild rhythms of nature and the cosmic turnings for her therapy and spiritual practices and leans into folk medicine for her family’s wellness. She tends to gardens, chickens, and dogs in the rural high desert.
